Permissible total weight: 3,500 kg – unchanged since 1991. The 310 D can be driven immediately with the current passenger car (B-class) driver’s license.

The large body sensibly requires driving experience! For a 3.5-tonner, the vehicle has enormous dimensions. You quickly get used to it, but this should be clearly pointed out in all fairness.

The Mercedes is approved as an 8-seater. In addition to the two front seats, the entire rear seating group is equipped with lap belts and can be used as passenger seats when driving.

Fixed tow ball hitch with 2,800 kg towing capacity.

This vehicle, as a registered historic classic with H license plate, allows free travel in German environmental zones: up to 8 people plus a large 2.8-ton trailer may be towed.

A fold-down bicycle rack with 40 kg maximum nose weight is listed in the documents, but is not present.

Total length including folded-down bicycle rack: 7.30 m.

Overall external dimensions, as shown: 6.70 m length / 2.30 m width / 3.10 m height.

Heating by diesel and gas.

A previous owner installed a robust 150-liter diesel tank for extended foreign trips.

Engine: the legendary OM 602 five-cylinder naturally aspirated diesel, 2,874 ccm, 98 hp. Naturally, it always starts immediately, runs smoothly, and still delivers its full rated performance.

The 4-speed automatic transmission (classic Mercedes torque converter automatic) shifts perfectly and reliably.

Maximum speed: 120 km/h.

The 310 D keeps up well in current traffic if needed. On inclines, however, you immediately notice its older-generation design. Patience is needed there.

All four tires are in good condition and have plenty of life left. They are winter tires, DOT 2020 (size 215R14C, with snowflake symbol according to the latest regulations).

The living area can be accessed from the right side or from the driver’s cab. Next to the seating group you’ll find a kitchenette with stove, sink, and refrigerator.

The main bed is located transversely at the rear. Additional sleeping space is available in the alcove bed, and the seating group can be converted for sleeping.

In front of the rear bed, left side: a bathroom with roof vent.

On the roof: a solar panel. Additional battery under the passenger seat.

Fresh water tank is installed in the front seat base of the living area and can be conveniently filled from outside.

An alarm and gas warning system is visibly installed, but has never been used.
