The output shaft of the hydrostatic transmission drives two motors located on the transmission. When the hydrostatic transmission is engaged, all power is transferred via hydraulic fluid. The pumps for the vehicle drive and the fan motor are controlled by the HTC unit, which consists of a computer with a display in the driver’s cab. The HTC system automatically regulates engine speed and hydraulic pressure for optimal performance. The computer also monitors all oil pressures, oil temperatures, and speeds to ensure they remain within the desired range.
