DAF T1300 “Frog” recovery vehicle
In January 1963, this DAF T1300 “Kikker” was newly registered on the road in the Netherlands.
This DAF was, in all likelihood, originally purchased by Shell and came in the original 'Shell Yellow' color.
Later, this DAF was converted into a recovery vehicle and subsequently operated by a small workshop in Brabant.
After the death of the workshop’s owner, his son had the vehicle fully restored.
The vehicle was completely refinished in red, and components such as the brakes and vacuum pump, among others, were replaced.
This work was presumably done around the year 2000.
The recovery body is operated manually and the winch is driven via an intermediate shaft.
The boom is extendable and there is also a manual scoop.
The DAF is powered by a 6-cylinder petrol engine (Type: BA475), and is equipped with 2 storage boxes and 2 hydraulic couplings at the rear of the cab.
The odometer reading of 19,643 km is very likely original!
