The Franzoi TAZ280 construction waste shredder is a high-performance twin-shaft shredder specifically designed for mixed construction debris. However, it can also easily process timber and dry waste. The shredder’s two counter-rotating shafts exert an impressive force of approx. 210,000 Nm (Newton meters) on the material, resulting in highly effective shredding. This machine is often referred to as a pre-shredder, as it prepares material for further processing.

The construction waste shredder offers a range of features and functions that improve performance and ease of use, including:

- Overband magnet with variable discharge direction: Enables easy separation of metal from shredded material.
- Hydraulically height-adjustable discharge conveyor: Adjustable up to approx. 3.10 meters, enabling discharge of shredded material to a height of about 30 cubic meters.
- Hydraulically tilting feed hopper: With a loading capacity of approx. 2.5 cubic meters and remote control operation.
- Quick-change system for shredder shafts: Shafts can be changed quickly and easily as needed. They can also be rewelded and reused several times before needing complete replacement.
- Large control panel: Provides comprehensive machine information and various digital setting options. Also includes a manual panel with push buttons for individual functions.
- GPS installation: The machine is equipped with GPS, allowing the manufacturer to remotely monitor, control, and adjust all machine data as needed. This minimizes downtime.
- Hydraulically adjustable screen deck: Adjustable in four stages to achieve the desired particle size. Values may vary depending on the material.
- Adjustable shaft speed: Shaft speed can be tailored as required—both fast, both slow, or one fast and one slow.
- Handcrafted gearbox: The shredder gear unit is handcrafted at the factory and delivers enormous torque of approx. 210,000 Nm.
- Powerful engine: Equipped with a Cummins B 6.7 Stage 5 engine featuring AdBlue technology. Provides approx. 280 HP at 2,000 rpm. Diesel consumption depends on usage, typically between 18 and 25 liters per hour.
- Hydraulically adjustable screen deck with 4-step particle size setting. Approximate values, depend on material:
1. 0-60 mm
2. 0-70 mm
3. 0-90 mm
4. 0-125 mm
