Additionally, only one driver has ever used it, and the two bunks have never been slept in—at most, a jacket has lain there. The vehicle was purpose-built for transporting classic cars, from pre-war Horch, Maybach, and Mercedes SSK models to the 300SL Gullwing. It has only been out for events such as the Goodwood Revival in the UK, etc. We are confident you will not find another Atego in this condition. It is ready for immediate display in the Stuttgart museum. All maintenance has been performed without interruption by the same Mercedes-Benz workshop for the past 60 years. The superstructure can be locked all around, and the sliding tarpaulins can be opened from both front and rear on both sides. The ramp is hydraulically operated at the push of a button; a winch and ample lashing points are provided. The 817 drives like a new vehicle. Complete documentation is available, from original drawings to the new-build body manufacturer's invoice.
