This Mercedes-Benz LA 312-136, popularly known as the "Bollnose", was instrumental in the post-war reconstruction of the 1950s.

As the direct predecessor to the later "Kurzhauber" generation, this model laid the foundation for Mercedes-Benz's decades-long market leadership in the truck segment.
